別府でネコにはこう語りかけるべし。

二月に仕事で訪れた九州。ついでに初別府。別府の街なかにはあちらこちらに風呂がある、という情報は街なかで塗装作業をしていたニイさんに話かけて知ったのでした。「ここいらの繁華街だけでも８０軒ほどの温泉があるんですよ。どこ行っても１００円で入れますし。どっか行ってみました？」「えーっ１００円で入れんの？」とか他愛もない会話から。そんな風呂繁華街を歩いていたら横丁を発見。先も見通せず、やっと一人が通れるくらい細く風呂の匂いがする。宝に巡り合えそうな予感がしたので、興味に抗しきれず操られるように入ってしまった。案の定、風呂への路地。向かい側から洗面用具を抱えたお婆ちゃんがやってきて道の譲り合いをする羽目になり「どうぞどうぞ」と道を譲った。振り返ってみると風呂の入り口でネコに遭遇したお婆ちゃん。風呂の扉を開けずネコに近づき撫でてます。きっと一声かけるに違いないとジーッと待ってたら・・・「おまえも入るかい？」。おーそれです。お婆ちゃんが言いそうな予想通りのフレーズをお待ちしておりました。

There are many public spa in Beppu. Taking a walk around downtown alone, young man at work talked to me about the spa around this area. I was surprized to hear that there are 80 spa near here and at a charge of only 100yen. Talking a walk on the narrow path, I met elder women carrying bath goods. She found a cat at the entrance of the spa, "du yo wanna take a bath wiz me?" talked to the cat. Thanks for her nice comment to hear.

ぷらぷら歩いていたら、地蔵尊発見。繁華街にある寺社で手入れが行き届いてると、ご利益ありそうと感じます。こちらも大切にされているご様子。
チリンチリン～。おーっとっとすいません。 おばばの乗った自転車にベルならされちゃいました。どうぞどうぞ。今日は「どうぞどうぞ」が多い日だな。

メインストリートで、お昼に撮りました。早朝ではありません。この写真はある北の街で進行中の「まちづくり」例です。私が今住んでいる地域ではありません。この寂寥感を狙ったのでしょうか。成功なのか失敗なのかはわかりません。「人工的にゴーストタウンを作った」と言っている人はいます。

日本には1968年に制定された都市計画法という非常に強力な法律があります。規制の親玉とでも言い代えてもいいような法律で、源流は無計画な土地取引のため魑魅魍魎どもが跋扈してしまった反省を基に法制化されました。戦後の1947年、占領状態から解放された日本は農地解放を行います。それまで奴隷のような扱いだった農家はわずかながらではありますが土地私有財産を持つことが叶い、一時的に裕福感にひたることができました。しかし1961年、農業基本法が制定されて以降じわじわと農家が苦しめられていきます。小さな土地から得られる農業所得は微々たるものであったからでした。1947年から1968年までの間、お金に困った農家は彼ら自身の土地を開発業者にどんどん売っていきました。これが後に大規模小売業者を地域に招く結果になり、小規模零細の小売事業者は淘汰されていきます。この現象は日本国内のあちこちでおきていきます。誰も耕さず産み出さない寄生事業者や虚業を増やした結果がこの有様でしょう。

街並みを変えれば街づくりというわけではないとは思いますが、現代の魑魅魍魎は表層をいじくる領域にも随分と跋扈しているようです。

This is main street of this Town in the mid day of week day, not early morning. This is an example model of "Community Renovation" in some town but not my city. I am afraid of it's succeed or failure. Somebody told about this town "They spent huge money to build a ghost town artificially".

Japan has strong law "Toshi-Keikaku-Ho" that was legislated in 1968. It is regulative king of law about "City planning", which comes from deeply reflect of haphazard exploitation. After the past war in 1947, liberized Occupied Japan had to be enforced farmland liberation to a farmer. Farmer temporaly felt rich at that time. After 1961, legislated law named "Agricultural Basic Act" start to grind down a farmer. From 1947 to 1968, struggle farmer sold their field to development serviser like a retail distributor, home constructor for new family. Those invited big retailer, Small retailer was crashed in the various regions of our country. Some caltivate and produce. they comes few to caltivete and produce.

Some designer was asked for changing townscape. It is doubt they imagine and recognize what the most important things is.

太いヤツしか見た事ない。細いとどうなる。

もうすぐ「出会いと別れ」シーズンが日本に到来
日本人にとって特別の意味がある紅白。縞模様も放射状も。
ストライプは太くなっているのが普通で、細いストライプの模様はありません。
紅白は卒業式はもちろん、入学や歓迎式、授賞式や卒業式などなど、単なる祝いというよりおめでたいハレの場に使われます。
放射状のものはかつて戦前の日本の国旗に紅白と太陽の昇る姿が使われていましたし。
ほとんどは幕に使われ、この写真のように壁にペイントすることはほとんどありません。

このほかに、不幸事だけに使われる縞模様もあります。それは黒と白のストライプです。
この店の閉店残念感を表すには白黒の方が正しい意味でしょうけど、紅白の絵の方がより寂寥感あるのが皮肉です。


Red and White stripe.
The stripe means delight event in non varbal Japenese, it's a symbol. The srtipe should be bold if it's narrow one. Using for welcome party, some Award ceremony and Graduation and more. Our national flag was composited red and white with rising sun in the prewar. Almost all the stripe has been use for curtain, not to paint such like the photo.

Black and White stripe is used unhappy situation.
But the photo show us correct meaning of it without using black and white film.

Brown Wall

隣町を通るたびに気になってた建物です。いい色になってるなぁと思ってました。
製材所のようですが、なんで壁がこんな風になってるんでしょう
定期的に塗装しなきゃこうなっちゃうんでしょうね。


This construction locates my neighbor city "Ishioka".
How nice color it is.
It seems sawmill company, Why owner leaves it such as.
They must be repainting even decade. I didn't think so.

Swallows & the High economic growth

Sorry for my poor english..
Tile-roofed structure is shop and home.
I asked owner to permit to take some photoes,
He willingly told me to take nicely.
Conversation going on, I've learned so many things at one time.
I heard It had constructed after near postwar.
Full open, no border, air, sound and birds come from outside.

Birds!?

Yes! birds!

Swallows lives inside this shop.
Almost all Japanese says like that,
"There is a prosperity where the swallows make their nest "


瓦屋根のお店。住宅も兼ねている昔ながらの古いお店がありました。
店主に写真をとらせてもらっていいかを尋ねた所、どうぞどうぞと快諾してくださいました。
お話は一方的に盛り上がり、この店が戦後すぐくらいに作られた事もお話の中から。
つばめが店内に巣をつくっちゃって、畳に新聞紙を敷きつめてました。
店主の困惑の表情の中にも優しい笑顔があることにホッとします。

日本には言い伝えがありまして、日本の多くの方も同様に信じています。
「つばめの巣が作られるところには福がやってきますんねや」というもの。

I found it at Hitachino Agricultural cooperative, stock space beside it.
Sign shows "Koh-Bai-Bu"which means "purchase department".
In Japan, sometimes Koh-Bai-Bu has to sell goods like a Sales division.
Koh-Bai-Bu had to keep employee the stuffs until closing.
The roof seems to be made by zinc.
These number of roof is symbol of the construction in the high economic growth period.

By the way....The shop constructed before high economic growth period has been standing still,
the other one constructed on the growth period had closed a shutter.

Did people banish swallows?.
I didn't find swallows at this place
Swallows brings prosperity. Is this true superstition?


こちらはひたち野農協の倉庫近くにある場所。
購買部ってデカデカとそこまで書かなくても。
屋根はトタン屋根で高度経済成長の頃に非常に多く作られたコスト重視の建築かな

さて・・・高度経済成長前からある古いお店がなんとか生きつづけ、
同様の時期の最中につくられたであろう店のシャッターはクローズ。
つばめの姿が見えなかったのがなんとも不思議だった。
人がいなくなるとつばめもいなくなるのかね
