Here is the third-widest area flooded. The prefecture road No.10 is routes between Shiogama city and Watari town. I thought here is inland because road of embankment wall hides sight, I can't see seashore, I can see only rice field along the road, then Here is safe. later I understood here is distance about 2km far from sealine. 2km... tsunami invades 5km. I found farmer's market named "farm Sachi". "sachi" means "happiness" in japanese.

東日本大震災による津波浸水被害面積が、三番目に大きかった宮城県亘理町(わたりちょう)。宮城県道10号塩竃亘理線沿いにだいぶ内陸を走行していると思ったのだが、海岸から2キロ程度離れているだけだった。周囲の風景からは海岸線が全く見えない。そこで見つけたファーム幸という直売所。

Kanji charactor "調査" means "inspection" and "済" means "finished". Paper said Farm Sachi was flooded 1.0 meter from floor. I didn't know they open or not. I thought here is safe. No, Here is one of the tsunami flooded area.

浸水が1mもあった調査票が張られている。安全だと思ってましたが、間違ってました。さてさて、ファーム幸は営業しているのか。不明だった。

I found big advertisement wall along national road No.6. It says "Watari(town) market". I stopped to enter to Watari market.

同じ亘理町の国道6号沿いにデカデカとした看板の「わたり市場」が目についたので入ってみた。

Vegitables, fruits, they stacks foods in shortage situation.

野菜も果物も不足気味の中、なんとか品ぞろえされています。

This spinach come from neighbor city, Iwanuma.

隣町の岩沼市からも葉物も。

Garlic come out, It's allright. It can use for all cocking.

建設業、農業、仲卸など手広く事業をしているわたり市場の女将さん。自宅は常磐道の海岸側にあり全壊。それでもなんとか営業を継続しています。ご本人の写真載せちゃってゴメンなさい。

Rather than terrible disaster area, fortunately inside Matsusima gulf was not smashed. I found farmer & fishermans shop, talk to landlady. "No terrible things occured" She told me that the day what happened. Matsushima gulf was guarded by little and many islands which receives tsunami as buffer zone. It likes natural fort. She showed me with smile and talken brightly, but I saw the scene around that ships upside down, and ship ride onto cabin.

過酷な被災地と比較して、ここはまだ良かった方ですという意味で「ここはね、そんなに被害はなかったの」と直売所の女将が言いながら当日の話を説明してくれます。松島湾はいくつかの島が湾の入江にあり、津波の緩衝地帯となりこの地域を守ったということでしょう。自然の要塞です。それでも船が建物の上にのりあげたりひっくり返ったりという光景は通常の風景ではありませんね。

穏やかな海は時にはこの上ない気持ち良さと元気を与えてくれます。

It is farmer & fisher market Nearby Gulf. They sell special rice which they allianced rice farmers.

湾のすぐそばにあった直売所「さん直屋」さん。契約農家に育ててもらって専用のお米まで売っています。

Ordinary they stacked agricultural product and seefood, but now seafood pool become empty because fisherman can't capture any seafood for his equipment was flooded. "Increasingly they can get fish and seafood". I felt her talking with that she was to patient facing the many severe painful, and she has knowledge and experience. She beleaves future.

通常ならば海産物も農産物も取り揃えてあるのですが、海のモノは壊滅的でお店には並んでいません。「いまは漁師さんが大変だからね。これから段々と増えていけば」という言葉には幾多の労苦を重ねて来た経験と、きっと復活するであろうとの希望、信念を感じました。

帰り際、女将さんに「ほれ。これもっていきな」と、きっと震災が影響して窪んだ缶コーヒーをいただきました。逆だろと。俺が元気もらってしまった

全国直売所研究会総会@中野サンプラザ 基調講演

We invited Mr.Takamitsu Kohzuma to our regular general meeging of the institute of All Japan Farmer's market (named Chokubaiken) in 2011/05/17. Mr.Kohzuma performed keynote speech with special report about "Radiation and Dining table". Mr.Kohzuma is professor of Ibaraki University, and he belongs to "Frontier Research center for Applied Atomic Sciences".

本年の全国直売所研究会総会で茨城大学大学院高妻孝光(こうづまたかみつ)教授に「放射線と食生活環境」と題してキーノートスピーチをしていただいた。

Our Chokubaiken campanies collaborates to the significant experiences for the University managed Sciences. The experience outputs amazing result about foods and agricultural work. This resolve is public but not announced widely, I couldn't explain on this blog because this is holded by both Prof.Kohzuma and Mizuho-no-Muraichiba. You are able to know if you join our organization (Chokubaiken). We are proud of this collaborations.

食卓に科学が活かされる大学の研究事例に直売所研究会の直売所が協働。食について驚きの研究がもたらされた。高妻教授とみずほの村市場(直売所研究会)との成果につき公開は差し控えます。
