Moss Hood

コケむした屋根。この屋根に気付いたのは10年以上も前。いつも気になる屋根。まるでコケ葺き屋根。きっとあの最強の生物、クマムシもたくさんいるでしょうか。高温に晒される屋根の上で苔にとっては過酷な環境でしょうに。案の定、変色しているのは枯れた苔。過酷でもお構いなしに生い茂っていきます。ムラのない緑色だったら美しい屋根になることでしょう。MOS Foodならぬ MOSS Hoodです。


Moss grown roof, it has been more than ten years since I noticed it. It seems as if dare to build with well grown moss. It might be severe for the moss in the sunny heat. Some part of the mossy roof changes into yellow brown. But most of it grows well. There might be kumamushi insects a lot. It must be more beautiful of there is no yellow brown part! It's not MOS FOOD but it's Moss Hood. (MOS FOOD is a name of Japanese fast food company, hamburger franchise chain store)

車を留めておく場所が変わり、初めてその場所に止めた時に周辺を見まわしてみたところ、目に入って来たのがこの樹。

生やしっばなしにしていい樹と手入れをしないとならない樹があるようで。人間の生活にとって手入れをした方がいいという場合もあるだろうが、ここでは樹の寿命にとってという意味で。

グリーンウォールとかグリーンカーテンとか言いますが、だいたいネットに這わせた苦瓜を使うのがよく見受けられるグリーンカーテン。日除けに使い、エアコンの使用を控える事で電力を使わない事につなげようという。ここまで生い茂ると効果は絶大だろうな。
そう。ここがグラウンドゼロ。幹も分化してそれぞれの方向にしっかりした幹をのばしているじゃないですか。窓も開かなくなりそうだけどね。

春まだ遠い３月始めに訪れた日本海側の小さな町

仕事も一段落した帰り道。インパクトありすぎの店。目の端に捉えた瞬間、止まるか進むか判断に迷った挙句、アクセルからブレーキに足を動かさず通り過ぎてしまった。しばらく走って路上の片隅に停車。後ろから車がどんどん追い越して行くのを都合悪そうにハザードランプをつけた車の中で思案に暮れる。ここに来る事も当分の間ないだろう。そうだな。引き返そう。などと考えながらUターン。

生物農薬

"生物農薬"という単語を見ると、得体の知れない恐ろしい未知のウィルスを使った生物兵器のように思える人は普通の感覚です。しかしそれは刷り込みで、ここを読み進めるうちにリセットされるかもしれません。害虫をこの生物農薬に食べ尽くしてもらおうというのがこの"生物農薬"。この農薬、2008年に農林水産省に農薬登録が承認されました。名前をスワルスキーカブリダニと言います。オランダのコパート社が特許を保有しております。(http://www.koppert.com) 「このダニは地中海東岸に生息し、もともとイスラエル、イタリア、キプロスとエジプトに野生種が生息しています。」（オールアバウトスワルスキーのホームページより）

ホームページによるとスワルスキーカブリダニは、生物分類上は"ムチカブリダニ亜科"というカブリダニ科の一種のようですが"カタカブリダニ亜科"という分類でも公開されているかもしれません。生物学者は数あるダニの違いを見た目から判断しているとの事で、カブリダニ科としては間違いないようですが、ムチかカタかはあやふやなようです。 (ダニの生物分類)

では、どんな害虫を退治するのかと言うと、"アザミウマ"というあたかも馬面のような縦長の昆虫です。アザミに生息している事が多く、子供達の遊び「馬出よ（うまいでよ）」とアザミの花を手のひら上でポンポンと叩くと花の奥から出てきた事からこの名前が付きました。4月から10月まで咲き続けるアザミは全国に野生しており、どこでも見る事ができるでしょう。このアザミウマ。殺虫対策は皆無でした。効果のある化学薬品が無くお手上げだったようです。様々なウィルスを媒介する事も悩みの昆虫で、野菜づくりに弊害をもたらす昆虫です。アザミウマは表面を削るように葉の表面を齧ってエサを食べます。植物はそこから病気や腐ったりしますので、対策がないこの昆虫の存在は非常に厄介だったわけです。

But Swirskii mite bring us increase yields. The Mite eats pest all of it. Swirskii mite was registerd in 2008 for Japan MAFF.

-- Amblyseius Swirskii is found in the wild in the eastern Mediterranean region, i.e. Israel, Italy, Cyprus and Egypt. The predatory mite is found there in crops like apples, vegetables and cotton. In Israel, A. swirskii is also frequently found in citrus crops.　the name Amblyseius swirskii is always used to refer to this predatory mite. In publications, it may also be referred to as Typhlodromips swirskii.　This is the same creature but with a different 'forename' (genus). Then, what Swirskii eats?. They eats thrips(Thysanoptera). Thrips called "Azami-Uma" in Japan. "Azami" means thistle and "Uma" means Horse. Thrips is looks like horse face, and allmost all they live in a thistle. Azami-Uma named Japanese children's play and tap thistle on hand with mantra like that --"Uma Ideyo!(Come on horse from inside thistle!)". Thistle blooms from April to October, You can see everywhere in Japan. Try to tap it with mantra "Uma-Ideyo!".



生物農薬を使った野菜と聞くと気味悪く思えますが、益虫としてのダニを知るとダニが可愛らしく見えてきます。写真中央右上に見える白い粒状のものがスワルスキーカブリダニです。山に入って葉っぱについてるダニを見かけたらゾーッとしますが、カブリダニというのが分っていると何も気味悪くないというのが不思議。
ちなみにアザミ。スコットランドの国花です。スコットランドのアザミウマは相当大事にされているんじゃないだろうか

さくら餅の葉っぱが好きです。

表題のアレロパシーとは、ある植物が他の植物の成長を邪魔したり、促したりする作用のこと。日本語で「他感作用」とも言ったりします。農業の分野で最近流行している「コンパニオンプランツ」もその考えの一つです。日本で春に一斉に花咲く桜にもアレロパシー物質があります。その物質はクマリン（coumarin）と呼ばれ桜の葉に含まれています。樹上で青々と茂っている時にはクマリン酸という形で放散しないのですが、加水・塩蔵することで一旦分解したあと再結合し、クマリンが形成されます。桜餅を包んでいるあの葉っぱが出す独特の香りがクマリンなのだそうです。クマリンは抗菌作用、抗血液凝固などの作用があり、血栓防止薬として利用されているようです。しかし毒性のあることも分っていて採り過ぎると毒です。大量に摂取すると何でも毒になるんですよ。薬も毒も表裏一体。ソメイヨシノでも八重桜でも葉から生成させるクマリンは一緒らしい。あの匂いが好きなんですよね。

写真では桜の花びらに注目してばかりですが、すでに葉っぱが生い茂っている所が多い。これからは桜の葉っぱを眺めながらクマリンの事も考えるようになりそう。

Coumarin on Sakura is produced by salting. Salting resolve coumarin-acid, it causes re-generate to coumarin in circle junction. Cherry blossom does not produce gas with leaf on the tree, Only smell on Sakura-Mochi（cherry flavored soft sweet rice cake） with leaf.

手前が道明寺餅。奥はかしわ餅。道明寺餅は桜の葉、かしわ餅は柏の葉。あたりまえですね。
さて、関東では道明寺餅を桜餅と言いますが、関西では長命寺餅を桜餅というそうです。

えっ!? ウソでしょ これは珍しい！

由布岳の山越えのさなか、道端にバンビを発見。巣立ち直後の様子でかなり若い風貌。鹿は警戒心が強い生き物のはずだけど逃げずに草を食んでいました。写真では野犬みたいにも見えますが、下の写真ではバンビの耳状の形が見えます。
勇敢と無茶は別だからね。道路に出てきちゃいけませんよと。写真はリバーサルフィルムにクロスプロセスを施したため、緑がかっています。

I found deer beside road during beyond the Mt yufu. You have to be carefull to cross the road.
