Up, Down, Gulf view, Hillside view, switch the scene at once. There is ria shoreline geography features in Sanriku. We saw crashed town in downside seashore. I found farmer's market in Kesen-numa city. Store wasn't open because not on time. I heard that they sell feeds and dressings mainly. This store's Representative officer pass away from tsunami. Staff is in saddness and in confuse. As people in kesen-numa city, many people died from tsunami. Survived people apologize to victims like that "I'm not hard to live preparing died in the port area" "I'm sorry for survived". This is comment of Gas station's staff. Money and materials can't heal for survived people's mind.

起伏のある三陸特有の地形。谷に差し掛かる度に津波の被害が現れる。谷から丘にさしかかった所で直売所を見つけた。この直売所があるのは気仙沼市だ。営業しているが野菜の直売所というよりは飼料や肥料といったもののようだ。残念ながらこの直売所代表は津波でお亡くなりになった。同じ気仙沼市の住人でさえ、「港に住んで亡くなった方の事を思うと家が多少壊れてても辛さは大したことは無い」「俺ら生きてて申し訳がないよ」という言葉を聞かされる。生き残った人が「申し訳ない」という。この辛さはお金や物で紛らわせる事は出来ないと悟った。

Go to Minami-sanriku, We can't through to south desitination at Shizugawa, We choose other road to go to Ishinomaki via Tome.

南三陸町に入ると、志津川から通行止めで南下できずに迂回路を通る。

Kesen-numa city, Miyagi Pref.

気仙沼市

Like no man's land. Seeing bridge when I'd approached Kesen-numa city from Ichinoseki, Iwate Pref. Sun shining.

岩手県一関から気仙沼へ通じている陸橋に差し掛かる。太陽がまぶしすぎ。

A few Farmer's market is in Murone town in Iwate Pref, but not opened yet for early morning. I'd going Kesen-numa Station, Station is not damaged.

気仙沼市に向かう途中、一関(いちのせき)や室根(むろね)といった地域に何件か農産物直売所があった。早朝だった為、売り場の様子を知る事は出来なかった。気仙沼駅に立ち寄ると駅舎に被害は無く被災している場所とは思えなかった。

But, to run to central city area nearby port, scene change at once.

しかし駅から港方面の中心街に向かうにつれ様相が一挙に変わる。向こう側に見えている建物は港ふれあい公園にある市営駐車場。すぐ向こうが気仙沼湾だ。街の中に湾が入り組んだ形になっている。

まだ瓦礫の中で車両が横倒しになって放置されている。家、車に"C"マークがつけられている。ヘアーサロンコマツさん付近。

Here is fish market store "kaneshichi" located nearby port. This store may crash soon. Investigation may go on fearness with crash. I could see "C" or "CR" marked on house, store and auto. It might say "Clear" stands for "No body in here". In Minami-Sanriku, Marking is more detailed.

南町2丁目5番地。カネシチ-村朝魚店さんが倒壊するのは時間の問題だろう。巻き添えとならないように気をつけながらの捜索だっただろう。ここでもスプレーで書かれている"CR"はおそらく"Clear"で誰もここから見つからなかった印だろう。南三陸ではマークも見やすく詳しくスプレーされている

Miyako city, Iwate Pref

Farmer's market in Miyako city named "Sanchoku Ichiba". It locates neigbor of Miyako vegitable market. Many pruduct stucks up here in such difficult situtation. We asked staff "Is any other market in Miyako?". The answer is that "Miyako has other 2or 3 shops, but almost was broken by earthquake and tsunami." It's left behind by tsunami attack.

宮古市にある直売所「産直いちば」。宮古青果市場の隣に位置している。この状況の中にあっても農作物も他の直売所と比べると豊富にあるように見える。「他に宮古には直売所がありますか」と聞いてみた。宮古にはいくつか直売所があったが、大きな所では道の駅が浸水し営業ができなくなっているそうだ。もう一ヶ所は蟇目(ひきめ)という集落に直売所があるとのこと。野菜を買える場所が極端に少なくなっているようだ。この直売所は宮古市周辺の農家を中心に品ぞろえと販売をしている。

売り場には葉物、根菜類も並び、丁寧な扱いで陳列されているのが見てとれる。

This Market wasn't close and continue to open after eathquake strikes. They were operated with pencil, paper and tiny calcurator when electiric going to outage. Mobile phone going down, He can uses only fixed phone to communicate farmers. Disaster victims seems to come buying rices and more.

直売所は被災当日から電気の無い中で手計算で営業。苦労しながらも農家に連絡して持ってきていただいたそうだ。その後は自家発電で対応。消費者はお米を求めて買いに来ていたようだ。農作物は売れ残る場合もあり、消費者に安く売るか農家に引き上げてもらっている。買いに来てくれるのは非常にありがたいとのことだが地元の消費者の購買を優先させたいとのことだ。語り口の柔和な岩澤店長と農家への支援を考えている。

Yamada Town, Iwate Pref.

Sorry for poor english... National Road No.45 drawn on more higher place. Staff of "Roadstation Yamada" said about when tsunami coming. Anybody can't do anything, only looked flood coming. Tsunami striken Yamada town at all for Central Yamada town locates nearby gulf. Almost local Gov't can't accept vulunteer, because acceptance organization turn into malfunction. But Yamada town do well. It has prepared organization named "Vulunteer acceptance centere". Volunteer is came from same or Neigbor prefecture. Many volunteer comes to this town, and people rest in "Road station Yamada" at a few times.

湾岸線の被災状況がは最もヒドイ町の一つ、山田町。町の中心は湾のそばに栄え、山あいの高い場所を国道45号線が走る。「道の駅やまだ」には各地からのボランティアが集まってきている。数少ないボランティア受け入れができている地方自治体ではないだろうか。ボランティア受け入れセンターも準備されており、隣県の秋田県仙北町の現地連絡所も設置されているのを見かけた。3.11の直後、避難してきた方々とスタッフはこの道の駅から津波に巻き込まれる街の様子を見つめながら茫然と立ちすくんでいたという。被災後の18日から営業。停電した為に自家発電で運営した。通常営業は18時までだったが、被災後の再開移行は17時まで。農家の多い集落は被災しなかったので農作物は持って来てもらう事ができた。

街の中心に向かい、湾に通じる坂道を下る。途中で見せつけられたのは、おびただしいがれきの山。街の全てががれきになってしまった。 見えるだろうか。クレーンが3台作業している。その小ささといったら。

Otsuchi Town,Iwate Pref

大槌町

Sorry for poor english... Otsuchi Town had became red. Why? because town was burned away by oils and rubbles containing wood when tsunami carried by. Widely town goes into ashes, steals and some material turn to red by oxygenized. It's different to another town. We can't find farmer's market in Otsuchi town.

大槌町は赤い。 津波の浸水だけでなく延焼してしまっている為、被災の様子が他の町と違う。津波と共に流れてきた化石燃料に引火し家屋の材料が燃焼した事によって広範囲に火災が広がった。酸化した鋼板類が赤茶けてしまっている。ここで直売所を見つける事はできなかった。

Too many red rubbles and many black walls in this town. This picture shots elementary school. Many people may escape from tsunami to here, but tsunami and fire strikes here.

街の中は未だにあちこちで浸水が続く。この延焼跡の建物は小学校だった所だ。たくさんの人が非難して来たであろう。津波と一緒に襲ってきた火災でこの小学校にあるものも焼き尽くされてしまった。赤い鋼板がれきが散乱し、建物の壁面は黒いのが大槌の被災の特徴だ。
